West Lake (Xi Hu) – Lake Xi or literally West Lake is located southwest of Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province. It is a beautiful lake surrounded by small mountains and forests on 3 sides and bordered by buildings and dwellings in the East. consist of a large lake and several small lakes (Lake Yue, Lake Xili, Lake Nan, Lake Beili, Maojiabu …). The western part of the lake is crossed by a long road with bridges at regular intervals, which separates Lake Xi from most other small lakes.

The Lingyin Temple – Located west of Xi Lake in Hangzhou, Lingyin Temple is one of the 10 most famous Buddhist monasteries in China. It is also one of the largest and its enclosure includes many pagoda and Buddhist caves. The Monastery was founded in 326 AD by a monk from India, Hui Li. In the Southern Song Dynasty, the monastery is considered one of the most important. The current temple was rebuilt in the 19th century during the Qing Dynasty.

Xixi National Wetland Park – Located 5km west of the center of Hangzhou, this park is unique in the Chinese landscape because it is the only “wet” park in China that has managed to combine culture, nature and agriculture in urban areas. Like the nine streams of the misty forest, Xixi is appreciated for its calm and soothing nature in an urban setting. The picturesque aspect and the elegance of the place have inspired many artists in painting, literature, poetry.

Taiziwan Park – Located just south of Xihu Lake, Taiziwan is a popular Chinese park with almost a thousand years of history behind it. It was indeed during the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279) that it was chosen as the burial place of two princes for the solemnity and calm inspired by the place, hence the name Taiziwan 太子 湾 (Prince’s Bay).
