Bai Dinh Temple (Chùa Bái Đính) – this unique buddhist place you will find about 20 km from Ninh Binh and about 90 km from Hanoi. It is not a problem to rent a motorbike and arrive here from this town. The Bai Dinh Pagoda complex is the biggest buddhist place of this character in Vietnam. The Bai Dinh Pagoda Complex compound consists of the original old temple and a newly created larger temple.
The Bai Dinh Pagoda Complex has set eight records – Biggest gilt Buddha Shakyamuni statue in Asia, biggest bronze statue of Buddha in Southeast Asia, biggest bronze bell in Vietnam, largest pagoda area in Vietnam, longest corridor with 500 Arhat statues, largest number of Arhat statues in Vietnam, largest Ngoc (pearl) Well in Vietnam, and largest number of Bodhi trees in Vietnam.
The most important emphasizing point of these great religion works are Tam The Temple and Phap Chu Temple. Two temples cover a total area of 1,000 square meters. The many architectural designs and antiques inside the pagoda depicted the former reign of the Ly Dynasty, and have made it an important historical and cultural relic of the country.
